Great homestyle cooking. Been there forever, 100 years or more. Really good people, food, and old school dining.

It was great. They have recently reopened after they remodeled. The food was great and the service was wonderful.

The biscuits here are huge and great. I have been here plenty of times and have never been disappointed with the service or the food. Sometimes it's a little busy but even then the service is phenomenal. One of the best places to eat around Shelby for a good price.

Cafe offers classic southern charm along many incredible tasty food choices. Free street parking, ample seating to accommodate any size group, extremely sincere and hospitable staff for a reasonable priced meal

Well the food was good when we finally got it. Waitress lost our ticket, had to take our order again, never apologized for losing our order and making us wait almost an hour to get our food. Didn't really seemed like she cared really. Food is really good but the service is not. Highly suggest ordering takeout instead of dining in.

If you’re looking for a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner- come to Shelby cafe. Everything I’ve ever ordered was very good from the breakfast to their homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese. Good soups and grilled cheese for fall and winter. Summer salad is good and they are the liver mush people. Best in town. Good cheeseburger and fries. And the best freaking onion rings ever

Great place with a true small town feel. The livermush and cheese omelette was amazing! Terrific service, great food, good price . This place is definitely a winner.

Good local place to grab a bite. I've had many great breakfasts and lunches here. Have a homemade biscuit or biscuit sandwich...these things are massive and good. Nice friendly staff.

Pretty popular spot on a Saturday morning. Lots of seating for small to medium sized groups. The food was good, nothing special. Came out quickly and well prepared. The waitress was efficient and helpful.

Good food. They were very crowded (Sunday lunch) so the delay in getting our order was reasonable.

This place used to be good until recently. The last three times I’ve been here I have ordered a pancake and all three times I have received my pancake cold to the point that the butter wouldn’t even melt. Today I asked the waitress to send my pancake back because it was cold so she did, and brought me a new one. When I received the pancake I took one bite and it was completely raw. The inside of the pancake was nothing but batter. I was incredibly disappointed. I told the cashier that I would not be paying for it. She bluntly responded saying that I didn’t have to pay for it as long as I didn’t eat it. Well of course I didn’t eat it. It was RAW PANCAKE BATTER. I almost felt like the kitchen staff didn’t cook it all of the way on purpose because I had sent it back. Moral to this story is.... I will not be coming back. Three strikes and you’re out.

A great local ma and pa restaurant for good southern comfort food!

The food and the staff are both great. You get the feeling of a homey/old fashioned diner feel. Everyone is friendly and the decor of the history of the town is cool to see as well.

This is the second time visiting here this time was breakfast. Good service, waitress was friendly. Food was good and plentiful. I really enjoyed this establishment down home country food. Well Done, would recommend trying here.

A great, GREAT cafe in Shelby! The food is fantastic and the staff is amazing! It's a happy, feel-good, nostalgic nook in historic Shelby. Our waitress Monica is our favorite and if you enjoy a good omelette, try the "Garbage Omelette!"

I called to place a carry-out order,and the employee answering placed me on hold. I walked in the door 20 minutes later holding my phone ,while still on hold. Wanting to talk to the manager,or person in charge,I was directed to one of the cooks. The cook offered no apology, only saying they were busy. On my way out, I was confronted by a waitress with an obnoxious attitude, who offered to take my order. At that point I didn't want any of their food.I also left without an apology. They have good food, but it's not worth the trouble.

Excellent diner food! Great service! If you order an omelet and ask for no sides, you get $1 of the already great price! Very cool historic place!

Absolutely amazing service, amazing staff and servers, know the regulars well, speak every time. Food is comfort mostly. Lots of options, always a couple of specials. You're missing out if you haven't been to eat here!

It’s really a great old town type restaurant. Very homey and comfortable. My waitress was very friendly and her services was quick. The food came out very quickly and there were no problems. She made sure our coffee was always full and hot. The prices were reasonable. Exactly the breakfast restaurant our family was looking too try today.

Tables are commonly dirty eith no place to sit... You have to set at a dirty table and have it cleaned while you set... food is good but they never clean there tables after some one leaves... Sad....
